Top Leaf approached Stunt Pilot Agency to launch a lifestyle magazine. Their target audience consists of knowledgeable, trendsetting individuals: early adopters intrigued by technology, current events, and cannabis culture. Our objective was to craft a unique digital experience that captivates this audience.
Roller’s Rights was heavily inspired by editorial design and aimed to show these characteristics through a unique digital experience. Every article uses a seamless horizontal scroll, paired with columns of text and striking photography.
My role was heavily design focussed, involving research, wireframing, and delivering final designs. To support the horizontal scroll, a main focus of mine was to solve usability hurdles, in particular navigation and responsiveness.
Our work was recognized by Clio Cannabis, with Roller’s Rights receiving the Bronze award in the 2021 Website/Microsite category.
On a personal level, this project was my gateway into the world of Webflow. Working closely with our lead developer, we translated my designs to a fully functional site. It was a bit daunting to learn about web development through such an unconventional project, but it’s given me a truly comprehensive understanding of the mechanics of web design and development.
